Case Study
BusinessOS, a custom operations platform on top of ERPNext for a fresh fruit trading and distribution group running several companies, with group-level reporting, intercompany transfers and maker-checker approvals.

The group runs several trading companies that buy, store, grade and sell perishable stock. Each company needed its own correct books, while management needed one consolidated view of profit, cash and inventory exposure across the group.
Fresh produce adds its own problems: stock is weighed rather than counted, units change between purchase and sale (crates, boxes, kilograms), and wastage and yield losses have to be tracked or margins are fiction. Transfers between group companies had to post correctly on both sides, and payments needed maker-checker approval.
We started with the data model and the boundaries, not the screens:
The platform covers 22 backend modules across commerce, warehouse and inventory, yield and wastage, cash, finance, cost centres, profitability, intercompany, approvals, reporting and notifications. It also has an assistant that answers questions about the business.

Tell us how your business runs today. We'll show you what we'd build and what it would take.
The warehouse floor console is designed for barcode scanners and phones: receive, dispatch, transfer and count, with weighed net weight captured whenever goods are received in a non-stock unit. Sales orders confirm into ERPNext as sales invoices with GST, and the finance workspace brings collections, payables, approvals and the GST register into one place.
The system is deployed to a client test environment, and the client's team is working through acceptance testing with us.
